We’re looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our team at Alfsons Enterprises’ Bottle Shop. If you have a deep appreciation for wine, spirits, and customer service — and love sharing your knowledge in a friendly, approachable way — we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide customers in selecting wines and spirits based on their tastes, preferences, and budgets
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of our wine and spirits portfolio, including origin, pairings, and vintages
  • Lead tastings and in-store promotions when required
  • Monitor stock levels, recommend new product selections, and assist with inventory control
  • Ensure high standards of product display and shop cleanliness
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Certification in Wine Studies (e.g., WSET Level 2 or higher) or equivalent sommelier training
  • Strong knowledge of European wines, spirits, and food pairings
  • At least 2 years of retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience in a similar role
  • Friendly, professional, and confident communicator — both with customers and colleagues
  • Passion for customer service and ability to work in a fast-paced, retail environment
  • Fluent in English; Maltese is an asset
