About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to lead operations at our flagship Bottle Shop in Ħamrun. As part of the Alfsons Enterprises team, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, optimizing customer experience, and ensuring the smooth operation of one of Malta’s most established family-owned beverage retailers.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the bottle shop
- Manage and train retail staff, ensuring high levels of service and product knowledge
- Oversee stock control, inventory management, and supplier deliveries
- Maintain high visual merchandising and store presentation standards
- Develop and implement in-store promotions and sales strategies
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and effectively
- Monitor KPIs and sales targets, reporting performance to senior management
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in retail management (preferably in food, beverage, or liquor retail)
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Solid understanding of wines, spirits, and tobacco products is an asset
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory software
- Fluent in English; Maltese is an advantage
