About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at the Ta’ Fonzu Bottle Shop in Ħamrun. As a cashier, you’ll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, so a warm attitude and excellent service skills are essential.
This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment as part of a family-owned business with over 50 years of retail experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately
- Process customer purchases, handle cash and card payments
- Greet customers and provide a friendly, helpful shopping experience
- Answer basic product inquiries and assist with locating items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the till area
- Support the team with restocking, light merchandising, and other shop duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable handling cash and card transactions accurately
- Friendly, trustworthy, and team-oriented
- Basic computer skills; POS experience is an asset
- Fluent in English; Maltese is a plus
